Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip have killed at least 51 Palestinians, medics informed Al Jazeera on Thursday.
According to the Al Jazeera report, half of the casualties were reported within Gaza City and surrounding northern areas, with the rest counted across the central part of the enclave.
Among airstrikes that hit the city of Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reporting that nine members of the same family were killed.
The renewed airstrikes on Thursday come as Palestinian health minister Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan said that 29 Palestinians starved to death.
Despite Israel’s relentless attacks in Gaza as part of Operation Gideon’s Chariots, 90 aid trucks were allowed inside the enclave. However, the trucks have only been limited to “flour for bakeries,” Abu Ramadan said.
