Alif Summit 2025 will take place in the City View at Metreon venue space in downtown San Francisco on Feb. 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., bringing together Muslim innovators, builders, and thought leaders from around the globe.
Hosted by Alif, a startup accelerator focused on supporting Muslim founders in emerging technologies, the summit will showcase Rocket Money CEO Haroon Mokhtarzada, Hijab emoji creator Rayouf Alhumedhi, AppLovin founding CTO Furqan Rydhan, FaZe Clan co-founder Yousef Abdelfattah, known as FaZe Apex, VELA Scarves co-founder Tasneem Atik Sabri and others.
“Alif Summit is about bringing together the brightest Muslim builders, founders, and creators in the world to meet each other and trade notes,” Alif CEO and founder Omar Waseem said. “We wanted to meet cool Muslims building cool things, so we’re hosting a summit as an excuse to bring ambitious people together. Bring interesting people into a room and let good things happen,” he said.
Tickets for the event have officially sold out, according to Alif Head of Operations and Partnerships Afra Nehal, leading to “secondary markets for tickets – we have people from around the world flying in for this,” she said. “This is the first event of its kind.”
Waseem views the summit as a way to motivate Muslims to achieve success in all occupations.
“I see the summit as an opportunity to show Muslims that the typical “Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer” paths aren’t the only ways to make a meaningful contribution to society. Things are changing, and it’s only going to get more interesting.” Waseem said.
