Malaysia and Indonesia have expressed their willingness to deploy peacekeeping troops to Gaza, if given a mandate by the United Nations.
The Malaysian prime minister announced this over social media Monday after having a phone call with his Indonesian counterpart. .
“In the three-minute phone conversation, we exchanged views on current issues, including Prabowo’s role in representing Indonesia on the international stage lately and his efforts in promoting regional and global vision, collaboration and peace,” he shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He also mentioned the possibility of expanding the collaboration to involve the greater Southeast region.
