Indonesia holds UN meeting in hopes of garnering support for Palestine

Indonesia hosted a meeting with the United Nations committee CEIRPP Bureau on Thursday to emphasize their support for Palestine.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi reiterated the need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, consistent humanitarian aid, and an end to Israeli occupation and settlements. 

"We had a productive discussion on garnering international support for Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution through the work of CEIRPP," Marsudi said on X.

The foreign minister also issued support for Palestine to have a full membership status at the UN.
