Hurricane Beryl, a Category 5 hurricane, has devastated several countries in the southeastern part of the Caribbean as it makes its way towards the southern United States.
Beryl brought heavy rains, strong winds, and flooding, displacing thousands and causing significant damage to infrastructure. Small but vibrant Muslim communities across the Caribbean were not spared from Beryl, with populations facing extensive flooding and power outages.
Driven by climate change, the increasing intensity of hurricanes in the region raises significant concerns for environmental activists.
